Derrick is a native of Los Angeles, where he was raised in an environment that instilled in him a strong work ethic and the value of integrity. He attended California State University, Long Beach, where he completed his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He entered his professional career as an electrical engineer, taking on challenging roles, mastering his craft, and developing strong leadership and customer relationship skills. He left this chapter of his career as a manager with AT&T to pursue his dream of becoming a respected real estate investor and entrepreneur.
